The currently used CDDB-Lookup service freedb.org was shut down at March 31, 2020. (See here). There is an alternative server available, you can configure this in the X-CD-Roast Setup:

What is X-CD-Roast?
X-CD-Roast is a flexible frontend for optical disc authoring.
It combines command line tools like "cdrecord", "cdda2wav", "readcd"
and "mkisofs" into a nice GTK based graphical user interface.
